How does the design process work when you order a sign from SignSpecialist.com? Below you will find our running journal of designs and sign specifications for Magnetic Signs, Banners, Yard Signs, Metal Signs, Temporary Signs, and Truck Lettering. These are actual orders from previous customers.
Our journal is updated daily with new designs. We only post in our journal the initial layout designed to the customers specifications. By the time the sign goes in production, many times, the design has changed dramatically from the initial proof you'll see below. Such is the nature of the design process. Never-the-less, this should give you a good feel as to how we and our customers design custom sign orders. If you have any questions, as usual, let us know - we'll be glad to help.

Sign Details: I would like the lettering “Blue & White” to be arched over the top. I would also like the lettering “Blue & White Lawn Care” all to be BRISK font, bold if possible. I would like all other lettering to be a different font, something more basic. I would like ALL font on the decal to be “Metal~Flake Silver” with navy blue shadowing on the lower left. I included a VERY BASIC picture of what I would like. This would be a 2 decal set for the doors on my truck. Please let me know if this is possible or if there are any problems. I am impressed with your samples and look forward to working with you. Thanks!!!

Hello. Thanks again for your recent order. Attached you will notice a layout for your truck lettering idea. Let me know what you think. Because of the limitations of the size of monitors, the layouts are not to scale (not proportional to each other). Also, no specific sizes are mentioned. It would be good to measure each area (main door lettering area, usdot area, bucks truck area) and let us know what size to make each section (length x height). Keep in mind monitors vary GREATLY in the way they display colors. If an exact color match is needed, samples can be mailed right out.

Lettering details: I would like a set of decals made up for my truck using the Erickson Trucking design found in your journal. There are 2 there, I want the bottom one with the bars on the top and Bottom. It will be going on a 2007 Kenworth W900L. My info is al follows

The first design is using our traditional layouts. The second layout is a new feature we will be offering soon on the website (full color truck letteirng). Be sure to look at the rendering upclose so you can see the brushed metal with engraved inset effetc. The price is $25 more over what is mentioned online. Let me know what you think.

If an exact color match is needed, samples can be mailed right out. Since we did not know the truck color… we guessed at black. Even if your truck is not black, this should work for layout purposes. Also, you mentioned an extra decal 5×22… no problem, we’ll throw this in at ‘no extra’

Sign Details: Type of Lettering Custom Truck Lettering; Size 20×24;Colors red; burgundy; apple green; Desired Fonts and Text Font choice is hard; maybe 71 (speed stroke) or race car casual; something thats easy to read and not too wild. The text should say “Bohol Trucking” if you’re able to integrate a palm tree in the design somehow that would be extra neat. Second choice of colors would be apple green; forest green and navy blue. My truck itself is light to medium blue color. Use your judgment in what you think would work best colorwise too. I’m excited to see what you come up with and will be looking forward to ordering the signs. Thanks; Robert
