How does the design process work when you order a sign from SignSpecialist.com? Below you will find our running journal of designs and sign specifications for Magnetic Signs, Banners, Yard Signs, Metal Signs, Temporary Signs, and Truck Lettering. These are actual orders from previous customers.
Our journal is updated daily with new designs. We only post in our journal the initial layout designed to the customers specifications. By the time the sign goes in production, many times, the design has changed dramatically from the initial proof you'll see below. Such is the nature of the design process. Never-the-less, this should give you a good feel as to how we and our customers design custom sign orders. If you have any questions, as usual, let us know - we'll be glad to help.

Hello. Attached you find several layouts for your truck lettering idea. Let me know what you think.
First, it is good to separate color selection from design selection. The first layout shows a general color layout in two different font styles – one corporate, the other traditional. Let me know what you think. Or if you have any changes or ideas and I’ll send another layout.
Next, color. The colors mentioned on your order are somewhat unusual – especially on a red truck. So also attached are a few layouts in similar color combinations. Again, let me know what you think and if you have any changes or ideas.
Once we get the color combination ‘nailed down’, I send another layout at a larger size. Keep in mind monitors vary GREATLY in the way they display colors. If an exact color match is needed, let me know and samples can be mailed right out.
Once we get the final ‘go ahead’ your sign will mail within 1 working day. If you have any questions let me know.

Bill Hello. Thanks again for your recent order. A couple of questions before starting on your layouts. I tried calling the numbers given, but did not get an answer. This time of year, I’ve learned not to leave messages – just incase the order is also a surprise Christmas gift. What color is the truck? This will help with getting together a good layout. Also, it would also be good to double check the size (24×36) just in case you have not already, since 24×36 is bigger than most door lettering. Also, I did not notice any font choices? Do you have anything particular in mind? If not a specific font, how about a ‘style’ (fancy, corporate, manly, cool, classic, etc…)? Let me know what you can and I’ll get a layout together.
